What is CNCF Kubernetes Certification (CK)?
CNCF Kubernetes Certification (CK) is a certification that verifies a product complies with the official Kubernetes standards and functions correctly in the same manner as Kubernetes.
This certification, verified directly by the CNCF and listed in the public repository ORKESTRIX mK8s (QKS) — Distribution1
— and holds practical significance in ensuring compliance with procurement requirements and compatibility with existing Kubernetes toolchains.
The CNCF classifies certifications into four types based on product form, and ORKESTRIX mK8s
has obtained certification in the Distribution category.
While QKSHosted is certified as a “service operated and provided by the company,”
ORKESTRIX mK8s (Distribution) has been certified as “software that customers can install and operate themselves.”

ORKESTRIX mK8s is a distribution based on the ORKESTRIX platform that enables customers to provision and operate multiple isolated Kubernetes clusters at scale on their on-premises infrastructure.
The entire cluster lifecycle—including provisioning, scaling, and upgrades—is automated.

ORKESTRIX mK8s is a distribution that builds upon ORKESTRIX’s infrastructure automation by adding a multi-tenant, multi-cluster layer capable of simultaneously provisioning and operating multiple isolated clusters at scale.
Ensuring that a single cluster adheres to standards is different in difficulty from ensuring that each of dozens of clusters—all created using the same automation pipeline—adheres to standards.
This is because as the number of clusters increases, the likelihood that some will deviate from the standard due to configuration drift or environmental differences grows.
This certification validates that ORKESTRIX mK8s’ automation consistently reproduces the same standardized results every time, regardless of the number of clusters.
